MedBridge Access is run by its two founding partners - one who lived the problem, and one who has spent a career treating it.

In 2023, living in Canada with a suspected ACL tear, Mrinaal was told the wait for an MRI would be upwards of six months. Not for surgery - simply to find out what was wrong. He flew to India instead, and had the imaging, the specialist review, and a plan within days.

The experience raised an obvious question: how many other people were sitting in the same queue, unaware that another option existed, or unsure how to arrange it safely from abroad? MedBridge Access was his answer to that question.

Mrinaal is not a clinician. He builds and runs the platform’s technology, and handles the company’s legal, compliance, and data-protection work - the parts that determine whether a cross-border consultation is actually safe to offer.

A spinal surgeon by training, Dr Tomar brings the clinical judgment that shapes how MedBridge Access operates - the standards practitioners are held to, how applications are reviewed, and how patient enquiries are matched to the right specialist.

His involvement is the reason MedBridge Access takes credential verification seriously rather than treating it as a formality. Every practitioner application is reviewed against their medical council registration before a profile goes live.

He also sets the boundary the company works within: that a remote consultation is the right tool for some problems and the wrong one for others, and that telling a patient which is which is part of the service.

How we divide the work

The split is deliberate. Clinical decisions - which specialists we accept, what standards they are held to, whether a case suits a remote consultation - sit with Dr Tomar. The platform, the legal framework, and the handling of patient data sit with Mrinaal.

The doctors on the platform are independent practitioners, and your consultation is with them, not with us.
